Saying Goodbye to Pre-Press Film Production
The decision has been made to no longer produce film as of January 1, 2007. This has a bit of an emotional edge to it, since Adage Graphics first began as a Pre-press Service Bureau in 1988. For more than a decade, film negatives and other associated pre-press items were our main product line. Saying, “goodbye” to a big part of our founding business is a little tough. But the demand for film production has dropped significantly since the development of direct-to-plate printing technology. It was an inevitable end.

Adage Graphics Prints World's Largest Digital Photomosaic

On October 3, 2002 at 5 a.m., Adage Graphics delivered to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum the HP Invent America Photomosaic. The HP photomosaic is composed of over 100,000 photos 5" square printed and mounted on 700 panels 4'x8'. This was the largest single graphic we had ever printed.
Approximately 100 kids helped to assemble this monster graphic. The kids carried each panel to the proper location and then assistants stapled the panels to a plywood grid placed on the football field. The following morning many more kids along with a marching band and Dick Clark leading the countdown witnessed the unveiling.
